MEDAL OF HONOR RECIPIENTS TO SIGN BOOK AT ASOM

Portraits of Valor Beyond the Call of Duty

FAYETTEVILLE, NC . The Airborne & Special Operations Museum presents the book , Medal of Honor: Portraits of Valor Beyond The Call of Duty, with text by Peter Collier and photographs by Nick Del Calzo, in a special booksigning opportunity. Four Medal of Honor recipients, from different eras of military history, three of whom are featured in the book, will be present to sign copies of the book at the museum on Friday, January 23, (fourth Friday) between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. and on Saturday, January 24, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The book also includes a foreword by President George H. W. Bush and essays by Senator John McCain and Tom Brokaw of NBC. Copies of the book are available for sale in the Airborne & Special Operations Museum gift shop.

The four Medal of Honor recipients are Gordon Roberts, who served in Vietnam with the 101 st Airborne Division; Rodolfo Hernandez, a Fayetteville resident, who served in Korea with the 187 th Airborne Regimental Combat Team; Walter J. Marm, Jr., who served in Vietnam with the 1 st Cavalry Division (Air Mobile); and Robert M. Patterson, also a Fayetteville resident, who served in Vietnam with the 17 th Cavalry.
