The Monuments found at the Airborne & Special Operations Museum (ASOM) are maintained by the ASOM Foundation and are purchased by retirees and/or organizations representing the unit to be honored. We have one monument that was provided by an Eagle Scout, one unit that traces it’s lineage back to the Civil War. Individual names are not allowed on the monuments with the exception of Wild Bill Donovan on the OSS monument and if someone wishes to put a monument for General Gavin, that monument has already been approved as an exception to policy.
Any Active duty units must have the commander’s approval on final design before allowing the monument to be manufactured. All of our monuments are North Carolina White Granite from NC Granite in Mt. Airy, North Carolina. Interested parties wishing to purchase a monument or has questions can call 910.643.2778 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
