Victory From Within: The American Prisoner of War Experience

The U.S. Army Airborne and Special Operations Museum is hosting the “Victory from Within: The American Prisoner of War Experience” in its temporary gallery from May 4, 2021- August 22, 2021!

Exhibit Overview

The 1,200 square foot traveling exhibit is based on the thematic organization of the National POW Museum – Capture, Prison Life, Those Who Wait, and Freedom. After years of development, the traveling exhibit was completed in the fall of 2013. The intent of this exhibit is to introduce the public to the prisoner of war story. This exhibit is free to the public.

Curriculum for Teachers

The Victory From Within (VFW) Curriculum is a companion middle/high school curriculum for the traveling exhibit “Victory From Within: The American Prisoner of War Experience.”

The mission of this curriculum is to educate students on the sacrifices made by American prisoners of war (POWs).
