Every Fall, the Airborne & Special Operations Museum Foundation and Cool Spring Downtown District proudly presents the Field of Honor®, a breathtaking display of hundreds of American flags standing tall in downtown Fayetteville.

This moving tribute honors our nation’s military heroes, veterans, first responders, and loved ones who have served—or continue to serve—with courage and sacrifice. Each flag is sponsored by community members to recognize an individual hero, and together they create a powerful sea of red, white, and blue.

The Field of Honor® is more than a display—it’s a place of reflection, remembrance, and gratitude. Visitors are encouraged to walk among the flags, read the dedications, and experience the profound sense of honor and unity this event inspires.
