National Airborne Day 2025
đź“… Saturday, August 16, 2025
🕗 8:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.
📍 Airborne & Special Operations Museum
100 Bragg Blvd, Fayetteville, NC 28301
Join us for a powerful celebration as National Airborne Day returns to the U.S. Army Airborne & Special Operations Museum and coincides with the museum’s 25th anniversary. This momentous occasion will honor 85 years of Airborne history, from the first U.S. Army parachute jump in 1940 to the legacy carried on by today’s elite Soldiers.
This year’s festival, hosted by the XVIII Airborne Corps, will feature patriotic performances, static displays, and special programming that brings military history to life for all ages. You’ll also experience live music from the 82nd Airborne Division Band and All-American Chorus, a mock door jump demonstration.
We’ll begin the day with a Liberty Tree Ceremony at 8:00 A.M., including the dedication of a permanent historical marker honoring the original Liberty Tree, an enduring symbol of freedom and resilience. Throughout the morning, explore Camp Flintlock, a hands-on living history experience where families can enjoy colonial-era demonstrations, period costumes, and educational activities.
